Karmin

Karmin is a chic and dude duo, who take the newest hot songs out and cover them in an unusually funky way. I came across this internet sensation via Perez Hilton’s website. Since then I go on YouTube every few weeks to find new music. Their ingenious way of reproducing some of the hottest songs out right now is brilliant. I don’t know much about them so I went to their website. According to their website Nick is the dude and he is experienced in Rock and Jazz. Amy is la chic and is influenced by R&B and Pop. They got together and made music magic. They're talent is hypnotizing. With so many artists trying to be the next this or that it's very refreshing to see originality. Above is some of my favorites.

Louie

Louie airs on FX Thursday 10:30 pm est

Louie is a comedy sitcom starring comedienne Louis C.K. This is the second season. Louie is a below average looking divorcee, father to two daughters living in NYC. The show switches back and forth between footage of his stand up act and the sitcom. The story lines are taken from his comedy routine. They consist of raising his daughters, dating, dealing with family and friends and work. It's not a show I DVR but if I'm channel surfing and see that it's on I will watch. It's not my type of humor however it's good for a few laughs. To see plain dry humor at its finest watch Louie.

Pawn Stars

Pawn Star

Pawn Stars airs on the History channel Monday's 10pm est.

Pawn Stars is a reality show about a pawn shop in Las Vegas. The owners of the shop are The Old Man and his son Rick. Rick's son Big Hoss and his best friend Chumlee also work at the shop. The breakout star is my fav Chumlee. He is not attractive but adorable. His child like behavior is comical therefore entertaining. My second favorite is The Old Man. For a 70+ year old man he got swagger and a mouth like the sailor he once was. He is always looking sharp. He doesn't give a fuck and will tell you exactly what he thinks. Rick is a walking encyclopedia. He is very knowledgeable and fair with the customers. Now my least fav is Big Hoss. He is annoying and has no sense of humor. He comes across as arrogant and Mr. Know It All. All four of them together make for good TV. All types of artifacts come through the door. You get to learn the history behind them and their worth. The shop is professional and organized. This show is educational and funny. To learn about all sorts of cool stuff watch Pawn Stars.

Unlikely Animal Friends

Unlikely Animal Friends
Unlikely Animal Friends on Nat Geo. Check your local listing.

I found this show while channel surfing and became an instant fan. To watch animals show affection and love to animals outside their species pulls at your heart strings. Unless your a cold hearted heathen. For reasons they only know these animals befriend each other despite their differences. A baby hippo with a tortoise, an orangutan with a hound dog, an elephant with a dog and others. They feed, groom and protect each other. If we could all get along like these animals the world would be a better place. They're cute and cuddly. To see that we can learn humanity from animals watch Unlikely Animal Friends.

Behind The Music

Behind The Music airs on VH1 Sunday’s 10pm est. time

After many years of hiatus VH1 resurrected Behind The Music. Woo Hoo!! This show is great. It features some of the best recording artist and as the name of the show you get the story behind the music. The artists in their own words share the stories of their lives and the trials and tribulations they experienced in an effort to break into the music industry. Family, friends and big wig music executives share their stories about the artist. That leaves no room for gossip or speculations. You get to see that all that glitter is not gold. Yes they're rich and live unbelievable lives but they work their asses off and deal with a ton of bullshit. If they don't produce good music and stay relevant the record companies toss them out with yesterday's trash. They can go from the high life to nothing. To see the true story behind some the greatest hits ever produced watch Behind The Music.

Hells Kitchen

Hells Kitchen airs on Fox Monday's at 8pm est. time

Hells Kitchen is a reality show starring Gordon Ramsey as he tortures all the while teaching these poor saps how to run a kitchen. Every season 18 new hopefuls come on the show hoping to win the coveted prize, which is becoming a head chef in an upscale restaurant. At the beginning the contestants are divided into two teams; man vs woman. They are given somewhat fair challenges in things they should know. The winning team receives prizes. Flying on private jets, dinner with Gordon, Vegas and a lot of other memorable prizes. The losing team has to clean up the mess left behind. Dinner service is the most entertaining part of the show. It's off the chain what they try to get away with. Gordon is on point and doesn't miss anything. Gordon cusses them out and calls them out of their name. I don't understand how some of them get upset, did they not watch the show before applying. Hello, it's called Hells Kitchen for goodness sake. It’s why the show is a success. At the end of each episode one chef is eliminated by handing over their chef jacket. This is season nine but I lost interest two seasons ago. However my husband still loves the show so I half ass watch it with him. To see people get humiliated all in the name of becoming a great chef watch Hells Kitchen.

Winnie the Pooh

This past weekend me and my good friend went to the movies to see Winnie the Pooh. She is also a cartoon lover. We both enjoyed it.  The story was about  Owl reading a note that Christopher Robin left incorrectly, causing Pooh and friends go on an adventure. It was very cute and funny. Much funnier than I expected. There is something about cartoons that is so comforting. I don't ever see myself not loving and appreciating cartoons. To be transported to Christopher Robins imagination go see Winnie the Pooh.

Roseanne's Nuts

Roseanne's Nuts airs on Lifetime on Wednesday 9pm. est. time.

Roseanne's Nuts is a reality show that follows Roseanne and her boyfriend in the gorgeous Hawaii. For those who don't know who Roseanne Barr is, she is a groundbreaking comedienne and actress. In the 90's she had a very popular and successful sitcom about a dysfunctional but loving family. The show was named Roseanne. As much as she is known for her show, she is notoriously known for her temper tantrums. After many years of living the Hollywood life she decided she had enough of the pretentious bullshit. Sight unseen she bought a nut farm in Hawaii and is trying to live off the land. Her children guest star on the star and is obvious they have inherited her humor. I've always loved Roseanne because she doesn't give a fuck about what people think. She does what she wants, when she wants and how she wants. She doesn't pretend to be someone she is not, just to fit into the Hollywood cesspool. In typical Roseanne style the show is loud, vulgar and funny. To see a TV star that is not full of shit watch Roseanne's Nuts.

Project Runway

Project Runway airs on Lifetime Thursday 9pm est. time.

Welcome back Heidi, Tim, Michael and Nina!!  I missed you. This is season 9 and I’ve watched since season 1. What I love about this show is that is all about talent. 20 contestants pack their bags and head to New York City in the hopes of having their dream of becoming a fashion designer become a reality. No bullshit alliances and backstabbing. They create the best garment they can and the judges decide who gets the Grand Prize. By the way the prize is life changing. $100,000 from L’Oreal to start their own line, a feature in Marie Claire magazine, $50,000 from HP and Intel to create their business vision and a chance to design and sell on Piperlime.com. Also the model that was paired with the winner will be featured with him/her in Marie Claire magazine and receives $25,000 from Loral. The judges are supermodel/ super mommy Heidi Klum. Fashion Director of Marie Claire magazine Nina Garcia. Superstar designer and powerhouse Michael Kors. Chief Creative Officer of Liz Claiborne, Tim Gunn mentors the “kids” throughout the competition. Their all brutally honest and keep the contestants on their toes. I enjoy seeing what is created from all sorts of unimaginable materials. It’s an exciting and emotional show.  To watch raw fashion designers watch Project Runway.

Alphas

Alphas airs on SyFy on Monday’s 10pm est. time.

Alphas is an original SyFY show. Its first episode aired on July 11. The commercial was enough for me to DVR the show. This weekend I watched three episodes and so far I’m enjoying it. The Alphas consist of two girls and three guys with extraordinary powers. Rachel (Azita Ghanizade) has the ability to enhance of her senses to the max; Nina (Laura Mennell) is able to make you do whatever she wants by staring into your eyes and using words; Bill (Malik Yoba) has superhuman strengths that come in burst and leave him drained; Cameron (Warren Christie) has superpower motor skills; Gary(Ryan Cartwright) has the ability to read all types of frequencies such as cell phones, television and radio.  Gary is my favorite so far. Dr. Lee Rosen (David Strathairm) is the Alphas supervisor and doctor. They work with a pain in the ass liaison for the Defense Criminal Investigation Service of the U.S. Department of Defense. Their powers allow them to solve crimes and track down other Alphas. The storylines is entertaining, the acting is convincing and the cast is good looking. That is always a plus. If you’re a fan of Sci-Fi and super heroes watch Alphas
